Madonnentaler 1770, Amberg. Brb. n. r./Madonna. Hahn 330, Dav. 1954. Die "1" und "0" i. d. Jahreszahl geändert (sic !). Übliche Justierspur a. d. Rs.
Selten wird man einen bayerischen Madonnentaler finden, der a. d. Vorderseite mit dem Regenten justiert worden ist. Sie wurden dagegen gerne a. d. Madonnen-Seite nachträglich "abgeschabt", da die abgeschabten Silberspäne/Silberstaub mit Bruchteilen der Madonna von der Bevölkerung gerne als Wundheilmittel verwendet wurden, eine Erkenntnis, die ja auch heute noch allgemeine Gültigkeit sowohl in der Medizin als auch im Alltagsleben hat, man denke nur an die Silber-"Beschichtung" von Türgriffen oder im Kühlschrank. (Walter Kühn in: "Münzen im Brauch und Aberglauben" 1982, S. 75 ff.).
Auffallend bei diesem Exemplar ist die offensichtlich geänderte "1" und "0" der Jahreszahl, wobei diese Änderungen ja eigentlich keinen Sinn ergeben !
