Arabic inscriptions spread on both sides: Kalima, date and mint around, citing the governor al-'Ashath and the caliphal heir al-Mahdi (later the caliph, AH 158-169). Dated to 143 AH = 760 AD, mint of Bukhara. 21mm, 2.42 grams. Album 320; cf. Zeno 103745.
