NGC 1721225-004
10¢, ND-MS66, Struck On Scrap (Silver), NGC. struck on scrap error occurs when a fragment of metal left over from strip trimming or punching—irregular, misshapen, and often of incorrect thickness—accidentally enters the striking chamber. Instead of a proper planchet, the dies hit this leftover scrap, producing a dramatically deformed coin with incomplete design elements, uneven metal flow, and jagged or non-standard outlines. The present example is a jagged, irregularly shaped mess. A perfect example for a serious error collector.
