This medal celebrates the 50th anniversary of Queen Wilhelmina's reign (1898–1948), one of the longest in Dutch history. The obverse features a left-facing portrait of the Queen with the inscription “WILHELMINA KONINGIN DER NEDERLANDEN.” The reverse shows the iconic Golden Coach in procession, flanked by the dates “1898 – 1948” and a stanza from the Dutch national anthem Wilhelmus.
