The Count of Paris and the Duke of Nemours, Law on the Regency of 30 August
Obverse: Conjoined busts of Prince Philippe, Count of Paris (as a child), and Prince Louis of Orléans, Duke of Nemours, facing right; legend around the edge:
"P. L. ALB. D’ORLÉANS COMTE DE PARIS PRINCE R. † L. C. P. R. D’ORLÉANS DUC DE NEMOURS"; signature "BORREL F." below.
Reverse: Text in French under a laurel sprig, with poetic homage and legal declaration of royal majority:
"AU ROI, / QUI DES DOULEURS PORTE AUSSI LA COURONNE [...] LE ROI EST MAJEUR / À L’ÂGE DE XVIII ANS ACCOMPLIS [...] LOI DU 30 AOÛT 1842."; engraver’s signature "ALLIÉN F.D." below.
