Small Moneymal Armadillo: Bastion of American wildlife
Being the only living mammal with an external bony carapace, the armadillo is one of the most unusual representatives of the animal world. In case of danger, it can anchor itself in the ground with its claws and is excellently protected by its armor. Three-banded armadillos are even able to curl up into a closed ball. The English name comes from the Spanish and means "little armored ones". Armadillos are only found on the American continent, especially in South America. As a prominent example of the native fauna, the mascot of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil was also an armadillo. This Moneymal Armadillo was handcrafted in Colombia. It consists of Venezuelan 1,000 Bolívares banknotes, which in turn depict armadillos on the back side. - Artwork from real banknotes - Devotedly handcrafted - Banknotes of the Venezuelan Bolívar Fuerte
