Bi-metallic (nickel silver center - cupronickel ring) - 8 5 g - 25 75 mm diameter - 2 20 mm thick.

German Chancellor Helmut Schmidt died in 2015 his country pays tribute to him with this 2018 commemorative 2 euro celebrating the centenary of his birth. He is depicted in a characteristic posture. The inscription "HELMUT SCHMIDT" and the dates "1918-2015" appear on the right. The mint mark of the Mint concerned appears below these dates. On the left-hand side are the issuing country code "D" and below it the year of issue "2018". At the bottom are the artist's initials.

Edge: striated and insculpted with the inscription "EINIGKEIT UND RECHT UND FREIHEIT" (unity and justice and freedom) followed by the German eagle.
