Non-contractual visual

The design is taken from the 2 euro commemorative coin issued by France to mark the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Designed by Joaquin Jimenez, the face represents a section of the falling Berlin Wall. It opens with a crowd of Germans raising their arms in victory. Three doves symbolizing peace fly over the crowd, their wings outstretched in a V shape, another sign of victory. The graphics on the Berlin Wall are by Schamil Gimajew.

While the words "30 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall" can be read in French and German on the French coin, the German design reproduces the text "30 Jahre Mauerfall" exclusively in German. The edge of the German coin features the inscription "UNITÉ ET DROIT ET LIBERTÉ" and a stylized federal eagle.

Edge: striated and insculpted with the inscription "EINIGKEIT UND RECHT UND FREIHEIT" (unity and justice and freedom) followed by the German eagle.
