This banknote is issued by North Korea. Its face value is 5000 won. The issuance of this banknote dates from the year 2006.

The front of the banknote features the portrait of Kim Il-Sung, founder of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and designated as the "eternal president." The portrait is adorned with lotus flowers on the left side and orchids on the right side. The coat of arms of North Korea is positioned on the left of the banknote.

The inscriptions on the front are written in Korean (Hangeul) and include the following mentions: "The Democratic People's Republic of Korea," "Central Bank," and the face value "5,000 won."

The back of the banknote represents Mangyongdae, identified as the birthplace of Kim Il-sung.

The dimensions of the banknote are 156 mm in length and 75 mm in width.
