The inscription "BANQUE de FRANCE" as well as the face value "CINQUANTE FRANCS" are also present. The names of the artists who contributed to the design of the banknote, "DANIEL DUPUIS et G. DUVAL, fec. JULES ROBERT SCULP.", are inscribed in Latin.
On the back, the banknote features a common personification of Industry and Agriculture, depicted holding hands. The inscription "CINQUANTE FRANCS" is repeated, accompanied by the words "INDUSTRIE" and "AGRICULTURE" separated by a vertical bar. As on the front, the names of the artists "DANIEL DUPUIS et G. DUVAL, fec. JULES ROBERT SCULP." are also mentioned.
