Issued in 2026 to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States, this Quarter Dollar is part of the exceptional American Semiquincentennial programme 1776-2026. This coin was struck at the Denver Mint and bears the D mint mark.

The obverse depicts two Mayflower Pilgrims, a man and a woman dressed in period costumes. This composition evokes the settlers who arrived in North America aboard the Mayflower in 1620. The inscriptions include "E PLURIBUS UNUM", "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the dual date "1776-2026".

The reverse depicts the Mayflower sailing on a rough sea. It pays tribute to the Mayflower Compact, an agreement signed in 1620 by the ship's passengers to establish the principles of organisation and government for the new colony. The inscriptions include "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", "LIBERTY", "MAYFLOWER COMPACT" and "25¢".

This issue is part of the designs specially created in 2026 to celebrate the events and values that shaped the history of the United States.
