The distinctive feature of this issue lies in its colourised treatment, applied to the coin's blank in order to highlight the graphic elements related to the sporting event it commemorates. This colouring technique, carried out with great precision, sets this coin apart from standard issues and gives it an immediately recognisable visual identity.

From a technical standpoint, the coin is made of bimetallic construction, in accordance with the European standards currently in force for 2 euro coins. This construction combines two distinct alloys: a central part and a peripheral ring of different metallic compositions, ensuring both the durability of the coin and its compatibility with automated verification systems.

It has a diameter of 25.75 mm and a weight of 8.5 grams, dimensions strictly compliant with the specifications defined by European regulations for this type of currency. The coin was struck at workshop A, corresponding to the Monnaie de Paris mint.
