Pièce Italy 10 euro Silver 2018 BE ( belle épreuve)

This 10 euro silver coin was issued by Italy in 2018 to commemorate the FIFA World Cup held in Russia. It belongs to the Proof (BE) quality category, denoting a carefully struck finish intended for collectible coins.

The coin is composed of silver with a fineness of 925‰, corresponding to sterling silver, guaranteeing a high precious metal content. It has a weight of 22 grams and a diameter of 34 millimetres, dimensions characteristic of commemorative coins in this range.

The mintage is limited to 30,000 pieces, making it a restricted-circulation issue. This relatively modest figure for an Italian commemorative coin helps preserve its rarity on the numismatic market.

Each piece is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, an official document attesting to the origin and technical characteristics of the coin, issued at the time of release by the Italian monetary authorities.

This issue is part of the tradition of commemorative coins produced by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato, the body responsible for minting coins in Italy, which regularly produces series dedicated to major international sporting events. The FIFA World Cup, held in Russia from 14 June to 15 July 2018, is the central theme of this official numismatic issue. The face value of 10 euros grants it legal tender status as a eurozone currency, although its intrinsic value and striking quality make it primarily intended for preservation and collecting.
