Magnificent pair of uniface trial strikes, retaining their original mint luster. The obverse of the reverse uniface piece shows iridescent toning. Extremely rare. References: GEM 199.1 and GEM 199.2 According to the book ‘Essais monétaires et piéforts Français – 2014’: According to G. Petit, only 5 examples are known for the obverse.
