Authenticated and graded by NGC AU 55 (Cert. # 3901924-001).
Deep gray tone. Choice About Uncirculated.

Traveler and great patron of the Sciences, Pavel Grigoryevich Demidov (1738-1821) founded the Mineralogical Museum in Moscow (now the Vernadsky State Geological Museum) in 1775, the Demidov Lyceum at Yaroslavl in 1803, and the Demidov Scientific Institute at St. Petersburg in 1805. In his lifetime, Demidov donated some 1.1 million Roubles to scientific institutions.
