Thank you for your interest in Canadian Coins.

Our main interest since 1975 are rare Canadian decimal coins from 1858 to 1967.
Many dates, including some very scarce errors and varieties are missing in most
Canada coin collections.
Rare varieties are much in demand, are very difficult to obtain and highly valued in even lower grades.
If we suggest a grade on a coin, it is exclusively our opinion and does under NO circumstances reflect an opinion someone else may have.
Grading coins is subjective. Our grades are based on experience and the North American 70-point Sheldon Grading scale. However, we make our best efforts to convert our grades to the European grading system as close as possible, based on “coin in hand”.

North American Grades are much more detailed than European grades and provide for more accurate grading in smaller steps. This will accommodate more detailed pricing of some coins. A grade is a personal opinion and is not a basis for a guarantee.
There is NO basis or lawful legal norm established for grading coins.

We always offer you the best quality of coins we have available for the most reasonable price. Fair and realistic offers are always welcome.

Conditions of sale
What we will do when you purchase from us:
1. We collect your personal information only to complete each respective purchase.

2. All descriptions and pictures used to promote our offers are our property and are protected by International Copyright laws. The images are an integral part of the item offered for sale and always represent the exact item a buyer will receive.
Despite best efforts, Color variations or deviations are always possible and are not a reason for a successful return.
Pictures are taken in High Definition usually within a week before posting.

3. Any grade opinion offered is our own opinion which may be different than the opinion of others, including Third Party Professional Graders (TPG’s).
We will grade a coin fairly and to the best of our knowledge and ability.

4. Unless previously agreed, payment in full within 2 days of the checkout date is required. Please send us an email if you wish to combine several items over a period of 7 days to be shipped together.

5. All checkouts must be made through MA-Shops without exception.

6. We may at times and without notice, revise any of our conditions of sale. Such revisions will be posted to this site and become effective for new orders immediately after the revisions are posted.

7. Most coins will be shipped from Canada via Canada Post First class mail.
However, shipments valued at over Euro 150 will be shipped via a method requiring a signature upon receiving the shipment. Cost of import into your country is always the buyer’s expense.

8. Unless another shipping fee is stated as part of the offer, we will charge a flat shipping fee of Euro 12 for a shipment not exceeding 50 grams to a destination to or within the EU and the USA. Shipping within Canada is Euro 5.
For shipping to other countries, we will quote you the estimated shipping cost via email.
Any shipment valued at more than Euro 150, will be shipped to most destinations requiring the buyers signature on delivery. A drop-delivery by a delivery service is not acceptable proof or confirmation of receipt of the shipment. If a purchaser wishes any other method of shipping, all such shipping cost will be at the sole expense of the purchaser and must be pre-paid. Please inquire via email.
NOTE: we will presently NOT ship to the USA, Russia, Africa, anywhere in South America, China and India.

9. Our RETURN policy:
       We will accept returns and we will pay for the return postage only if a returned
      item meets at least one of the following conditions:

    A. An item is substantially not as described or does not reasonably represent the
        images shown on the MA-Shops website. No other images are accepted.

   B. An item has a considerable defect that is not described or could not be seen
on the posted pictures. Small nicks, dents, or hairlines are not recognized as
a defect and are NOT a sufficient reason for a successful return.
        A return will not be accepted if any of the seals (if applied) are broken or if there
       is evidence the shipment has been tampered with in such a way so the content
       could have been removed, altered or replaced.
       In case of a suspected forgery, you must provide proof or verifiable
      evidence to support your claim.

    C. You must notify us of any problems and the reason for your request to return
the item within 3 days of the date the item was delivered to your Address.
        If you have changed your address and you had the shipment forwarded to
       another address, the address the shipment was first addressed to is the original
       delivery address, regardless if the forwarding to another address was initiated
by a Post office or other service. If the shipment is not accepted or rejected by
the buyer without a valid reason, it is considered received and accepted.

If the shipment has sustained damage during transit, a report must be obtained
from the Post Office or Courier service confirming such damage.

        We will only ship to your registered and verifiable address with
       MA-shops or PayPal when Paying via PayPal.
       With very few exceptions, we will NOT ship to any substitute address, Post
Office Box, Military postal system, or General Delivery addresses.

        Coins graded by a third-Party Grading company (TPG) can NOT be returned for
        any reason*.

     D. After you notify us of an apparent problem, and if we agree to your request, we
         will inform you by email how to send the coin back to us.

     E. After we receive the return shipment, we will examine the coin to validate your
        claim and, if we agree with your concerns, will refund your purchase price
only, including the paid portion of the one-way shipping cost to you.
         We will not refund any brokerage fees, import duties, taxes nor any other
costs assessed while importing the items to your country.

     H. We will issue a refund within 5 business days after we have received the
items. Refunds will be made in the same form as payment was originally
made, and via the same financial instrument. (PayPal or bank transfer)

     F. * We will NOT accept any returns of professionally graded, certified
         and sealed coins by the following professional and internationally recognized
        grading companies: ICCS, CCCS, PCGS, NGC, ANACS, ICG.
10. Shipping method, shipping costs, Insurance, and shipping times.

Please note, there is NO insurance available for shipments of Canadian legal money, from Canada to international destinations even if it is a collector’s item. All Canadian Money is still legal.
All items are shipped from Canada via Canada Post 1^st class mail. Shipments can take anywhere from 8 to 45 days (or sometimes even more) from the date the items are posted at a Canadian Post Office.
Irrelevant of how many coins you have purchased and what the total value is, we must make a true full value customs declaration for shipments outside of Canada.
We will declare the items as “numismatic collectors items” and use the international customs Tariff code 7118.90.00 as part of the contents description.
If you wish to have your coins sent via some other shipping method, then such other shipping cost must be prepaid by the buyer in full. Unless otherwise posted, we normally ship coins within 5 business days of receipt of payment, or the next practical business day if payment is received on a weekend or a Canadian holiday.

14. Restrictions on Countries we ship to:

We will NOT* ship to Russia, the Baltic countries and countries located east of the German Border, east of the Austrian Border, all of Asia, India, Africa, Mexico, Middle-, Central- and South America, Micronesia and all other South Pacific areas*.
We will ship to New Zealand and Australia.

However*,
We will sometimes make exceptions and ship to any country via a courier service at buyers’ expense. A buyer signature or courier service delivery confirmation will be required. You must have a reputable history with MA-Shops and your Payment is made through your PayPal account with your account balance and not with a credit card.
Please contact us for clarification BEFORE buying an item or completing the MA-Shop check out.

15. AUTHENTICITY
All coins sold by CANADA COINS are guaranteed to be authentic and genuine. Coins in sealed third-party TPG grading containers are only graded as authentic by the respective grading company. The following grading companies are recognized by us as reputable Third-party graders (TPG) for Canadian coins:
CCCS “Canadian Coin Certification Services;”
ICCS “International Coin Certification Services”;
PCGS “Professional Coin Grading Services”;
NGC “Numismatic Guaranty Corporation”;
ICG “Independent Coin Graders”;
ANACS (The oldest Coin grading Service.)
NO other grading services are recognized.

If we, by a remote chance, unknowingly sell you a coin that is proven NOT authentic, we will refund the purchase cost and shipping expenses both ways. However, we will not refund any import or export expenses occurred at your border. You must provide us with reasonable cause when you question the authenticity of a coin. A simple suspicion is not enough.

Before we offer a coin for sale, we take detailed and very high-resolution macro photographs and use these images as “fingerprints” for our software to identify the coin we sell. These images show every little, ever so tiny marks and as such, are a unique identifier of each coin. Our software can identify specific characteristics unique to the coin for identification.

Please note:
Simply NOT liking an item after you have received it, is NOT a reason for a successful return.

WHAT YOU MUST DO after you have agreed to a purchase.

Conditions of sale, before we ship your coins:

1. PAYMENT in full including shipping cost must be received within 2 days of the
     MA- Shop check out date unless other arrangements have previously been made
or revisions of the invoice details are required. (When purchased several items for
    combined shipping)
2. Pay for your purchase in full, including shipping cost, via one of the following 3
    methods.

1.) If Your shipping address is within the EU, please pay
Via direct Bank transfer to our German Bank.

2.) If Your shipping address is outside the EU, please pay via PayPal to
mytrades@shaw.ca. (no credit cards)

3.) If the shipment is within Canada, please pay via E-Transfer from your bank to
mytrades@shaw.ca

3. For PayPal payments the following conditions apply without exception:

A.) You must have a verified, registered and confirmed PayPal shipping address.

B.) After your payment, PayPal will notify us that it is OK to ship to your verified address.

C.) Your shipping address must be the same as your registered PayPal address and your MA-Shop account address.

D.) You must NOT have negative feedback at MA-Shop for none-payment of an Invoice.

E.) A 3 % PayPal surcharge will automatically be added to the invoice if paid via PayPal.

Please note:
We do not accept Credit Card payments via PayPal.
If you wish to pay PayPal with a Credit Card then this transaction is between you and PayPal.
