This French banknote has a face value of 20 francs. It was issued in 1940.

The front of the banknote features an allegorical composition with two central figures. On the left, a female figure symbolizes Science, holding an open book and compass, evoking knowledge and scientific rigor. On the right, a male figure represents Labor, leaning on an anvil and holding a hammer, symbolizing industry and productive effort.
