This 20 Franc banknote, issued by the Banque de l'Indochine in Papeete, Tahiti, dates from 1928. It belongs to the series issued between 1923 and 1928.

The front of the banknote, printed in brown, lilac, and red, features a portrait of a woman on the right. The inscriptions "BANQUE DE L'INDOCHINE" and "VINGT FRANCS" are prominently displayed, with the mention "PAYABLES EN ESPECES AU PORTEUR" and the place of issue "PEPEETE". The face value "20" is also indicated. The names of the artists Cl. Serveau and E. Deloche are mentioned as the creators of the front.

The back of the banknote, printed in red and green, features a peacock in the center left and butterflies on the right. The inscription "PAPEETE" is present, as well as the face value "20FR". A legal warning is included, mentioning Article 139 of the Penal Code and the penalties for counterfeiting or falsifying banknotes authorized by law. The names of the artists Roque and E. Rita are mentioned as the creators of the back.

The banknote's watermark depicts a native head in profile. The banknote measures 180 × 90 mm. The signatures present on the banknote are those of Simon and Thion de la Chaume.
