This is the rare Dome 1 oz Gold Coin Polished Plate RAM 1626 World Map from 2018. This coin is limited to only 750 worldwide and for this reason is particularly popular with collectors and enthusiasts around the world. This second and final issue of the Terrestrial Dome coin series symbolizes the fascination of the Age of Discovery.

What’s special about this gold coin is that it has been certified as a First Strike by PCGS with the maximum grade PR70 DCAM (Deep Cameo). There are actually only 20 of this coin in existence!

Front: The obverse of the gold coin features the Western Hemisphere. This illustration, is based on a map made by the English cartographer John Speed in 1626. The very beautifully rendered map is a work of art from the great age of discovery.

Back: The reverse of the Royal Australia Mint gold coin features the bust of Queen Elizabeth II. Around it is written “Australia 2018”, “100 Dollars” and “Elizabeth II”.
